Vacancy Notice – Finance and Logistics Officer (full time)

Requirements:

 

  • University degree and/or at least four years of relevant working experience as financial officer, preferably in a donor funded project;
  • Professional fluency in the English and Albanian language;
  • Excellent computer literacy; proficiency in Excel
  • Strong analytical, organisational and administrative skills;
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a member of a team, with people of different cultural and religious backgrounds, different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity;
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and within limited time frames.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

The main role of the Financial and Logistics Officer is to support the swift implementation of the Project ALLED - „Aligning Education with the Labour Market Needs (Kosovo)”, which is financed by the European Union and co-financed and implemented by the Austrian Development Cooperation.

Under the supervision of the Team Leader and the Office Manager, the Financial and Logistics Officer is specifically responsible for the following:

 

  • Participates in regular planning and reporting of project activities
  • Continiously and reliably communicates with and reports to Austrian partner organisations
  • Prepares accountabilities and drafted invoices for submission on a monthly basis
  • Reviews annual budgets and tracks expenditures. Liaises with bank for all payments
  • Develops activity and budget plans to facilitate disbursement of funds as per project needs and implementation schedules
  • Organises project events
  • Planes, organizes, prepares budgets and manages logistics for project events.
  • Provides courteous and efficient logistic support and serves as a liaison for all partners and experts engaged in the project
  • Assists the project Team Leader, Office/ Project Manager and facilitates communication with local authorities, experts and other stakeholders
  • Facilitates communication between local office, experts, consortium members, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and other partners
  • Supports the internal and external reporting
  • Engages in other office activities as assigned by the team leader and/or the project manager
  • Establishes good and considerate work relationship with all staff in the organisation
